Global Health Rotation for Residents/Trainees

Tororo District Hospital has opportunities for foreign medical residents to spend several weeks rotating through its clinical services. This rotation is supervise by Dr. George Welishe. Visitors can stay in a nearby hotel, and work on any of the wards as well as perform surgical procedures under his supervision.

Previous residents have spent anywhere from 2-6 weeks at TDH. Because of serious staffing problems, the hospital has a large need for physicians and welcomes trainees as well as trained physicians. Trainees working with Dr. Welishe do not need a Ugandan medical license to work at TDH.
